What is a Chakra

The word Chakra comes from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit and means 'Wheel of Fire'.

We all have seven main Chakra's, these are energy centres which are aligned down the centre of the body, from the top of the head to the base of the spine. These energy centres spin and draw in energy to keep the spiritual, emotional and physical health of the body in balance.

What happens if they are blocked

Any of the Chakra's can become blocked or imbalanced, which can manifest physical issues like arthritis, constipation, bladder problems or it can effect you emotionally making you feel insecure or less confident, to name but a few.

Each of the Chakra's govern different parts of the body and emotions, when one is out of balance or blocked it can have a knock on effect on the others, which over time can bring you down physically, mentally and spiritually.

A Typical Session

Before you begin your treatment you will be invited for a free initial consultation which would normally last 45 minutes to 1 hour. During this consultation you will be told what the treatment involves, you will tell me why you are seeking Reiki and give details of your medical history providing as much detail as possible, helping to make sure you get the best treatment possible.

​

After the initial consultation, your therapy appointment can begin. You will be asked to remove your shoes and any other constricting or annoying clothing, ie, coats, glasses etc, you will then lie down and get comfortable.

​

I will scan your body with my hands (not touching) and a crystal pendulum to check each of your Chakra's for too much energy, too little energy and imbalances, I will then place crystals on and around your body, I will use the energy from the crystal and my hands to get your energy moving as it should, leaving your body harmonised, energetic and full of vitality.
